Solar Plate Printmaking Workshop

Learn the basics of solar plate intaglio.  Solar plate intaglio uses the sun and water to create an etched plate ready for printing.

Instructor:  Terry A. Ybáñez

Mrs. Ybáñez has painted for 30 years and taught for 20. She has illustrated 3 children’s books and exhibited her art in the U.S., Mexico, France and Kuwait. Mrs. Ybáñez is currently serving on the Cultural Arts Board for the City of San Antonio for District 3 and teaching art at Brackenridge High School.

$90.00 pays for workshop and materials

Saturday, October 23 or Saturday, November 13 2010 10 a.m. -1 p.m.

Open Studio - 1st Sunday of each Month

Bring your projects & share printmaking camaraderie while sharing the studio.

Participant purchases own paper & plates.  General studio supplies

& available inks provided. Call by 1pm Friday of each week.

$10 per session ( $5 for members )

Sundays, 1:00 pm— 4:30pm, with reservation.

 

Special Projects

Perfect for artists with some experience who want a practiced printmaker to work

side-by-side with them to create an edition of prints.

Hours by agreement.

$20 per hour, 3 hour minimum, plus materials.
